The films are accessed through the narrative of the production sections of the year in which the film was produced . For example to see a documentary film made in 1946 go to Part 1 1946 to 1959 click on "Making documentary films, television fillers and television commercials for use in the UK."
This will take you to a selection screen "Making films for use in the Uk 1946-1959" .
Select "Documentary films produced 1946 to 1959" click on this which will bring you to a screen "Documentary films produced 1946 to 1959" scroll down until you see a film highlighted in red and then click on message in brackets "click here to view from BFI" (British Film Institute).
This will bring you to the name of a film and a message "Watch for free" click on this and the film will play.
This sequence applies to all production sections both for films for UK use and Overseas Television.

How do I find a film in the narrative if I only have the title?
Go to "Search" on the Navigation Bar and enter the name. This should bring u the name of the section where the film is referenced.
