The Frontier science programs consisted of two groups. The first was produced in black and whiteand the second series was in colour. He talks about his work on the first formative weeks of a baby's life. Frontier No 2 Common Cold no further information Frontier No 3 Wear program is about research into the way materials wear, for example through fiction. Most of the program considers wear in the context of metals. The program includes interviews with experts Dr Hirst and Dr Welsh.(NFA ID8234) Frontier No 4 Proteins program considers the role of proteins in the way our bodies function. Includes interviews with Ritchie Calder, William Pirie and Professor Fogg.(NFA ID11155) Frontier No 5 Hovercraft program reviewed developments in the use of hovercraft. It includes an interview with Sir Christopher Cockerel. 1965
Frontier No 6 Initial Teaching Alphabet program describes a large scale experiment in 1961 by the University of London involving 10,000 children to teach them to read using a new method called the Initial Teaching Alphabet Frontier No 7 Computers program is about the development of computers. Frontier No 10 Traffic In Towns program looks at the problems of managing the increasing amount of traffic in towns. This group of five programs were the last Frontier programs to be produced. They were subsumed into the new series of Living Tomorrow and Tomorrow Today science programs.
